ItalianExpo.us aims to provide Italian SME’s with tools to penetrate the North American market. The Chicago-based LLC was founded in 2006 and is lead by a team of marketing and integrated communication experts, with expertise in helping firms to take their business international.
The team’s first undertaking, the 2008 Italian Expo at Chicago’s Navy Pier, aimed to introduce visitors to the core business sectors that have made Italy famous worldwide: fashion, design, food, wine and tourism.
The successful event became a recurring Chicago tradition, while also expanding to Houston in 2009.
By 2011, ItalianExpo.us created a new event: The Italian Food & Wine Expo. The three-day event was targeted at generating business relationships between Italian manufacturers and top North American distributors. The expo returned in 2012. And in 2014, it expanded to become the International Food & Wine Expo. The updated event will feature fine food and wine manufacturers not only from Italy, but throughout the world.
ItalianExpo.us also expanded to Dallas in 2011 with a new event focusing on another core Italian business: fashion. The inaugural Italian Fashion Week included a series of events in Dallas’ most popular venues, as well as a trade show that allowed buyers from throughout North America to meet with some of Italy’s most famous fashion houses. Because of Italian Fashion Week’s initial success, it returned in 2012.
Our vision: ItalianExpo.us aims to promote Italian-made products in the U.S. market and to help Italian manufacturers penetrate the American market. We achieve this by organizing events that foster relationships between companies from Italy and the United States.
